We are a design studio based in Japan, creating oasis-inspired hospitality spaces—
places of comfort, vitality, and renewal.

自然、環境、人に寄り添い、心を満たすホスピタリティ空間をデザインします。
空間を通して人々の心と身体を満たし、一人ひとりの心からの願いや夢が実現していく。そんな未来を描きます。

At Headstarts,
we design hospitality spaces that embrace nature, the environment, and people, creating places that fulfill the heart.
Through these spaces, we enrich both mind and body, envisioning a future where each individual’s heartfelt wishes and dreams are realized.

東京都出身。武蔵野美術大学造形学部建築学科卒業後、クラフトマンシップの熟練した技術とものづくりの姿勢に感銘を受け東京都立品川技術専門学校（職業訓練校）で木工家具製作を学ぶ。在校中、家具製作技能士補資格を取得。2003年からワンダーウォールにてチーフデザイナーとして国内外の商業施設の設計・デザインに従事。 2010年に独立し「ヘッドスターツ」を設立。環境の魅力とクライアントの想いを最大限に引き出す全体構成から、手肌・指先に触れる感触までを大切に、家具プロダクトから空間のインテリア、建築、そしてそれらの情景までをデザインしている。 木工家具づくりで培われた髪の毛1本分の太さと言われる0.06mm単位の細やかな感覚と緻密かつ柔軟な感性、バランス感覚で創り出す空間やプロダクトは国内外から評価を得ている。
また、これまで培った設計技術と感性を百年後二百年後の未来に繋げていく使命感のもと、教育にも注力している。
2015年から鎌倉女子大学非常勤講師。

Born in Tokyo, Japan.
After graduating from the Department of Architecture at Musashino Art University, was deeply impressed by the refined techniques and philosophy of craftsmanship. This experience led to studying wood furniture making at the Tokyo Metropolitan School for Craftsmanship, where the Assistant Furniture Making Technician qualification was obtained during her time there. In 2003, joined Wonderwall Inc. as Chief Designer, planning and designing commercial spaces both in Japan and overseas. Became independent in 2010 and established “HEADSTARTS.”
From overall spatial composition that brings out the full potential of the environment and the client's vision, to the textures that meet the hands and fingertips, every element is designed with care. Her work extends from furniture products to interior spaces, architecture, and the scenes they create. With sensitivity honed through woodworking—capable of perceiving differences as fine as 0.06 millimeters, the width of a single strand of hair—each creation embodies a precise yet flexible sensibility and a refined sense of balance, earning recognition both domestically and internationally.
Guided by a mission to pass on meticulously cultivated design techniques and sensibility to future generations 100 or even 200 years from now, she is also actively engaged in education.
