In the heart of Ginza 6-chome—a district imbued with culture and art—the Ginza Museum Building has emerged as a new landmark. On its eighth floor, HEADSTARTS has designed the interiors of the members-only piano bar HYGGE GINZA.

The name HYGGE—a Danish word meaning “a cozy and comfortable time or space”—reflects the owner’s wish for every guest to experience a moment of genuine ease. HEADSTARTS translated this sentiment into a spatial experience that resonates with the refined urban culture of Ginza.

Within this space, we have woven the duality of atmosphere and the art of architectural transition into a single, continuous spatial composition.
Beyond the authentically detailed entrance unfolds a warm and inviting atmosphere, where the natural textures of wood and plaster overlap in harmony, evoking the soft tactility of adobe architecture.
Facing across from it, beyond the bar counter, the mood transitions to one of classical elegance—anchored by a sense of gravitas and the lustrous presence of a grand piano—where intimacy and formality coexist in serene balance.

Every element—from the bar counter’s armrests, meticulously shaped to support a relaxed posture, to the gentle curvature woven throughout the design—embodies hospitality through design.
These subtle gestures extend warmth and comfort, offering each guest not only visual beauty but an experience that lingers in the heart.

In dialogue with the spirit of Ginza, HYGGE GINZA becomes a special place where calm and exhilaration, craft and emotion, coexist in perfect harmony.

銀座6丁目、文化とアートの薫りが漂う街並みに誕生した「銀座美術館ビル」。その8階フロアに、HEADSTARTSがインテリアデザインを手がけた会員制ピアノバー「HYGGE GINZA」がオープンしました。

「HYGGE（ヒュッゲ）」とは、デンマーク語で“居心地の良い時間や空間”を意味する言葉。そこにはオーナーの「訪れるすべてのゲストに心地よいひとときを届けたい」という想いが込められています。HEADSTARTSはその想いを、銀座という都市文化と響き合う新たな空間として具現化しました。

この空間では、二面性と設計的な切り替えの妙を、一つの体験として空間構成の中に織り込んでいます。
オーセンティックな設えのエントランスを抜けると、木の温もりや漆喰など自然素材が重なり合う、アドビ建築を思わせる柔らかな空間がゲストを迎え入れます。
一方、その向かい側、バーカウンターの先には、重厚感とグランドピアノの艶やかな存在感が際立つクラシックで品格ある空間が広がり、親密さと格式が穏やかに共存する構成としました。

バーカウンターのアームレストは、寄りかかる姿まで想定し、長時間でも快適に過ごせるようフォルムと角度を丁寧に設計。
さらに、丸みを帯びたフォルムを随所に取り入れることで、包み込まれるような安心感とやわらかな印象を演出しています。
それは単なる意匠ではなく、ゲスト一人ひとりに寄り添い、記憶に残る体験を生み出すための「デザインとしてのホスピタリティ」です。

銀座の街と呼応しながら、訪れる人に余韻と高揚感をもたらす――そんな特別な場を実現しました。
