In the heart of Tokyo’s Ginza 6-chome—a district known for its rich cultural and artistic atmosphere—stands the newly opened Ginza Bijutsukan Building. On its 8th floor, we designed the interior of HYGGE GINZA, an exclusive members-only piano bar.

The name HYGGE, derived from a Danish word meaning “a feeling of comfort and contentment,” reflects the owner's heartfelt desire to create a place where every guest can experience a truly relaxing moment. To express this concept spatially, we blended authentic, classical elements—such as the rich presence of a grand piano—with modern, light touches, creating a calm yet multifaceted environment.

Upon entering, guests are greeted by the graceful sound of a grand piano, accompanied by the glittering cityscape of Ginza. The bar counter features softly curved armrests, carefully designed in both form and angle to provide comfort for extended stays. It is a space that balances substance and elegance.

To evoke a sense of warmth and tranquility, we incorporated rounded forms throughout key areas of the interior. These gentle shapes embrace each guest, offering not just a beautiful setting, but an unforgettable and emotionally resonant experience.

銀座6丁目の文化とアートの薫りが漂う街並みに誕生した「銀座美術館ビル」。その8階フロアに、ヘッドスターツがインテリアデザインを手がけた会員制ピアノバー「HYGGE GINZA（ヒュッゲ ギンザ）」がオープンしました。

店名に冠した「HYGGE（ヒュッゲ）」とは、"居心地の良い時間や空間"を意味するデンマーク語。そこにはオーナーの「訪れる人すべてに心地よいひとときを過ごしてほしい」という深い想いが込められています。

その想いを空間として具現化するため、オーセンティックな重厚感とグランドピアノの艶やかな存在感を基調にしながら、現代的で軽やかな要素を随所に取り入れ、クラシックとモダンが調和する、落ち着きと洗練が同居した空間を目指しました。

エントランスでは、グランドピアノの優雅な音色が銀座の夜景とともにゲストを静かに迎え入れます。バーカウンターのアームレストは、寄りかかる姿を想定しながら、長時間でも快適に過ごせるようフォルムや角度を丁寧に設計。重厚でありながらもしなやかな佇まいが、空間全体に調和をもたらします。

また、訪れるゲストに包み込まれるような安心感とやわらかな印象を与えるため、空間の随所に丸みを帯びたデザインを採用しました。その温もりあるフォルムは、ただの装飾ではなく、ゲスト一人ひとりにやさしく寄り添い、心に残るひとときを演出します。
